COCOON goes on stage for the second time. After the debut with the Dance Well Dancers of Castelfranco Veneto, the show is reworked and reconstructed with the Dance Well Dancers of Bergamo.

We spent precious time in the room exploring known and unknown places, chatting and sharing thoughts, telling stories and getting lost in the language of dance and its wide range of possibilities, challenging limits by finding comfort in discomfort, listening to music from past sewn on the sounds layer of the present, imagining those of the future. Together, we created our own ritual dance and danced for each other shyly.

It's all in the plural because the work is the result of a collaboration where everyone brought a part of themselves, sharing a story and developing materials. My job was only to stitch together the 'dancing works of art' that gradually revealed themselves from these extraordinary bodies.

COCOON is a hug, a transition born from a cuddle, a sense of protection that will have to abandon us sooner or later, accompanying us towards another planet.
